About Ocean Exposure:

The ocean is seen as a beautiful, powerful and remarkable place which seems immense, stable and influenceable. While the ocean is extensive and does have many buffer processes it is more sensitive than we could have ever thought. The problems which we, as greenhouse gas producers and plastic users, have caused goes beyond the horrible negative impacts on the marine wildlife, but we are changing ocean chemistry and sea surface temperatures. While this does affect the ocean by increasing the amount of coral bleaching events and the disruption of the food web; it could even negatively affect our climate and the weather that we experience on daily basis. These changes that we have made, have and will continue to impact our lives. It is therefore our responsibility to be informed about the impacts on the environment and do what we can to minimize the consequences.
